What You’ll do:

Our ideal candidate has experience in a fast-paced kitchen and shares a strong commitment to ‘wowing’ guests with exemplary food presentation and garnishing—someone with solid knife skills, a sense of urgency, team player with a passion for putting out consistent, quality food on the table. The Line Cook’s responsibilities will be to prep ingredients, cook meals, and keep a sanitized work area. What You’ll do:

  • Prep ingredients for menu items using restaurant recipes
  • Learn/utilize current procedures for serving portion sizes and basic meal prep

  • Contribute to the team’s efficiency by helping with prep work for other shifts when needed
  • Follow restaurant produce schedule, monitor product freshness, and rotate out old product

What You Need:

Job Details:

The bustling Jacksonville Inn Restaurant & Lounge is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our terrific team. Our ideal candidate will be familiar with a wide array of trending and old-school drinks while delivering quality customer service, serving customers sitting at the front bar, and making drinks for the dining room. The bartender monitors the cash drawer located at the bar and monitors alcohol inventories (especially at the end of each night). The bartender will support the manager in ordering alcohol to help maintain adequate inventory.

What You’ll do:

  • Mix drinks and serve customers
  • Monitor pour levels to keep drink costs at a minimum
  • Maintain a safe bar environment
  • Follow health department regulations to ensure a clean and organized bar area
  • Maintain a precise cash drawer and account for any discrepancies in the final drawer tally
  • Cultivate and maintain a positive working environment
  • Monitor/assess inventory to ensure product availability and make orders as needed
  • Follow and uphold company policies and procedures regarding the handling of cash, property, products, and equipment

What You Need:

  • High school diploma/equivalent required
  • 2+ years experience as a bartender
  • Mixology certification from a reputable bartending school is desirable
  • Physical demands include standing for an eight-hour shift and lifting 20-pound boxes

Job Details:

The historic Jacksonville Inn is seeking an experienced Maintenance Specialist to join our terrific team. Our ideal candidate provides general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, grounds, and public spaces, has a strong work ethic, positive attitude, good communications skills, and is a customer service-oriented team player.

What You’ll do:

  • Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis
  • Maintain our hotel and keep our standard of high-quality building care
  • Assist in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems, and make minor repairs and/or replacement as needed
  • Assist in checking and making routine repairs and assist on major repairs of all hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, HVAC, hand and power tools and general plumbing systems and fixtures
  • Maintain the building exterior including snow removal, lawn care, painting, gardening
  • Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures if needed
  • Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints, and/or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction

What You Need:

  • 3+ previous technical training or job experience
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
  • Must be willing to help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player
  • Climbing, reading, standing, walking and routinely lifting 25 lbs to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments

What You’ll do:

  • Maintain our high standard of cleanliness in guest rooms and all areas of the hotel
  • Approach all guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
  • Launder all linens by washing and drying in the laundry facilities provided
  • Wipe all surfaces, dust and vacuum each guest room adhering to our brand standards
  • Change linens, make beds and restock all guest room supplies, in multiple rooms
  • Clean bathrooms, remove trash and carry out green practices as trained by the hotel
  • Support our maintenance team by reporting any broken, defective or missing items

What You Need:

  • Experience in some cleaning capacity, preferably hotel housekeeping
  • Responsible with attention to detail

Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and can keep up during the busiest times of the day. You will work closely with Dishwashers and Servers and be responsible for clearing tables when customers leave, always ensuring clean plates and flatware for each table. We’d love to hear from you if you have a strong work ethic and experience working in a restaurant.

What You’ll do:

  • Coordinate with dishwashers/servers to make sure tables are cleared, cleaned, and ready
  • Support the kitchen staff during the busier times of the day with washing dishes if needed
  • Support servers by arranging tables for large parties and scheduled gatherings when needed
  • Update the specials board each morning
  • Observe tables and alert servers if guests need drink refills or other assistance

What You Need:

  • High school diploma/equivalent preferred
  • 1+ year of experience in a busy restaurant

Manager must have a passion for hospitality and customer service to oversee a team of staff and to execute Ownership’s overall goals and vision for excellence in hospitality and retail. If you have a positive, guest-service-focused attitude and a love for hospitality we want to hear from you!

What You’ll do:

Industry Knowledge and Outreach:

  • Demonstrate experience both in the wine and premier hospitality industry
  • Expand knowledge to build the brand of the businesses as industries continue to progress
  • Place wine orders, negotiating rates and discounts, and make appropriate pricing recommendations
  • Passion for wine —know how to enjoy it, what to recommend, and anticipate customers’ needs
  • Market the business and engage with the community to drive sales

Leadership:

  • Manager must have a passion for hospitality and customer service to oversee a team of staff and to execute Ownership’s overall goals and vision for excellence in hospitality and retail

Operations:

  • Oversee all operations in wine shop and hotel as well as provide strategic direction
  • Track wine and inventory, ensuring all items are priced properly and are visually appealing.
  • Collect and submit inventory, sales, and tax data to the bookkeeper – daily
  • Order all wine shop and hotel supplies
  • Inform Ownership about the facility’s day-to-day maintenance needs
  • Provide sales, financial, marketing data, reports, trends, resources, goals, and counsel to Ownership
  • Network with vendors, local wineries, and community to build relationships and business opportunities
  • Proactive in planning and organizing hospitality events, developing a marketing plan, and performing marketing outreach duties, controlling costs, managing budgets, and setting and reaching sales goals
  • Ensure company standards for guest experience, housekeeping, and facilities are met
  • Responsible for implementing workflows and policies for all afterhours needs for facility and guests
  • Establish the hotel’s reputation for quality by inspecting rooms, public areas, and the surrounding grounds for cleanliness and upkeep
