What You’ll do:

  • Offer friendly and respectful customer service
  • Take customers’ food and drink orders
  • Ensure all orders are brought to the customer accurately and promptly
  • Deliver knowledge of menu, specials, and suggest dishes
  • Work alongside restaurant management to address customer concerns
  • Assist with front-of-house to maintain a clean and orderly environment
  • Assist with setting tables and rearranging tables to accommodate larger parties

What You Need:

  • High school diploma/equivalent required
  • 2+ years’ Server experience preferred

What You’ll do:

  • Greet customers when they first arrive
  • Coordinate reservations, create waitlists and offer patrons accurate wait time estimates
  • Responsible for ensuring a neat and organized front of house that reflects our establishment
  • Seat guests and take drink orders to ensure efficiency in speed of service
  • Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed
  • Learn menu items and specials
  • Be conscious of server workloads and rotate seating between different stations

What You Need:

  • High school diploma/equivalent preferred

Our ideal candidate has experience in a fast-paced kitchen and shares a strong commitment to ‘wowing’ guests with exemplary food presentation and garnishing—someone with solid knife skills, a sense of urgency, team player with a passion for putting out consistent, quality food on the table. The Line Cook’s responsibilities will be to prep ingredients, cook meals, and keep a sanitized work area. We want to hear from you if you are energetic, have excellent culinary skills, and passion for quality cuisine.

What You’ll do:

  • Prep ingredients for menu items using restaurant recipes
  • Learn/utilize current procedures for serving portion sizes and basic meal prep
  • Follow restaurant standards to keep kitchen, food prep, food storage areas clean/organized
  • Contribute to the team’s efficiency by helping with prep work for other shifts when needed
  • Follow restaurant produce schedule, monitor product freshness, and rotate out old product

What You Need:

  • 3+ years’ cooking and kitchen organization experience
  • High school diploma/equivalent required
  • Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more a day
  • High level of professionalism
  • Teamwork skills and work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds at a time on a regular basis

Job Details:

The bustling Jacksonville Inn Restaurant & Lounge is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our terrific team. Our ideal candidate will be familiar with a wide array of trending and old-school drinks while delivering quality customer service, serving customers sitting at the front bar, and making drinks for the dining room. The bartender monitors the cash drawer located at the bar and monitors alcohol inventories (especially at the end of each night). The bartender will support the manager in ordering alcohol to help maintain adequate inventory.

What You’ll do:

  • Mix drinks and serve customers
  • Monitor pour levels to keep drink costs at a minimum
  • Maintain a safe bar environment
  • Follow health department regulations to ensure a clean and organized bar area
  • Maintain a precise cash drawer and account for any discrepancies in the final drawer tally
  • Cultivate and maintain a positive working environment
  • Monitor/assess inventory to ensure product availability and make orders as needed
  • Follow and uphold company policies and procedures regarding the handling of cash, property, products, and equipment

What You Need:

  • High school diploma/equivalent required
  • 2+ years experience as a bartender
  • Mixology certification from a reputable bartending school is desirable
  • Physical demands include standing for an eight-hour shift and lifting 20-pound boxes
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communications skills
  • Dependable and reliable

Job Details:

The historic Jacksonville Inn is seeking an experienced Maintenance Specialist to join our terrific team. Our ideal candidate provides general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, grounds, and public spaces, has a strong work ethic, positive attitude, good communications skills, and is a customer service-oriented team player.

What You’ll do:

  • Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis
  • Maintain our hotel and keep our standard of high-quality building care
  • Assist in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems, and make minor repairs and/or replacement as needed
  • Assist in checking and making routine repairs and assist on major repairs of all hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, HVAC, hand and power tools and general plumbing systems and fixtures
  • Maintain the building exterior including snow removal, lawn care, painting, gardening
  • Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures if needed
  • Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints, and/or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction

What You Need:

  • 3+ previous technical training or job experience
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
  • Must be willing to help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player
  • Climbing, reading, standing, walking and routinely lifting 25 lbs to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments

What You’ll do:

  • Maintain our high standard of cleanliness in guest rooms and all areas of the hotel
  • Approach all guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
  • Launder all linens by washing and drying in the laundry facilities provided
  • Wipe all surfaces, dust and vacuum each guest room adhering to our brand standards
  • Change linens, make beds and restock all guest room supplies, in multiple rooms
  • Clean bathrooms, remove trash and carry out green practices as trained by the hotel
  • Support our maintenance team by reporting any broken, defective or missing items

What You Need:

  • Experience in some cleaning capacity, preferably hotel housekeeping
  • Responsible with attention to detail
  • Motivated and hard working
  • Ability to relate positively and effectively with diverse people
  • Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments

Our ideal candidate has vast experience creating seasonal menus and designing new dishes while ensuring clear communications with full kitchen staff. Someone who is an experienced professional, dedicated to food quality and high standards with the desire to serve the very best, every meal. He/she will show leadership in establishing a kitchen culture that revolves around the experience and enjoyment of food and cooking; a hands-on leader in cooking and managing the kitchen team in a demanding environment. What You’ll do:

  • Responsible for all kitchen functions, including food purchasing, preparation, and production
  • Work with Sous Chef and Kitchen Manager on sanitation, training of employees in methods of cooking, preparation, plate presentation, portion and cost control, safety, and cleanliness
  • Responsible for attaining or surpassing a target food cost and BOH labor cost
  • Develop all menus including Brunch, Dinner, Events (onsite and offsite)
  • Communicates the restaurant’s vision to all team members and leads by example while reinforcing the company’s values daily and inspires the team with his/her exciting vision
  • Builds and maintains relationships with team members and FOH management alike.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is working properly through routine inspection and that maintenance and cleaning routines are being followed
  • Communicates with the banquet and catering coordinator on all special events on and offsite
  • Manage inventory conservatively while holding enough product on hand for the daily menus
  • Collaborate with Owner & General Manager on ways to improve operations & increase revenue while aligning to Owner’s vision and expectations
  • In collaboration with the General Manager and Owner, make hiring and termination decisions including posting ads, interviewing, hiring, evaluating, and terminations.
  • Oversee training, development and weekly schedule of employees

What You Need:

  • Four-year degree or culinary school completion preferred
  • 8+ years’ kitchen experience in a fast-paced, high-volume, full service restaurant
  • Knowledge of best practices for training/implementing kitchen procedures with kitchen staff
  • High level of reliability excellent creativity skills
  • Flexible schedule required
  • Experience with menu costing procedures
  • Exceptional interpersonal communications skills
